The workout: snatches.
Heavy barbell. Ground to overhead.
I hate snatches.
This is going to suck.
That was my first thought.
The same one that shows up anytime something feels:
Unfamiliar.
Demanding.
Risky.
This is going to suck.
But then a more mature voice dropped in:
It’s supposed to be uncomfortable.
Growth always is.
Don’t sugarcoat it.
It’s meant to suck—at first.
Because what’s the alternative?
Same old patterns.
Same results.
Same frustration.
And honestly?
That sucks more.

Hi Cara. I had to open it! Curiosity got the better of me! As I read your note, I kept wanting to swap the word growth with change. I love change, though I know it makes most people squirm. Either way, both words hold power, and yours clearly sparked something in me.
