“Aging is a fact of life, but ‘old’ is a mindset.”
– Steven Kotler, Gnar Country1
In my late 50s, I felt stuck, sluggish, and old.
Now at 60, I feel alive again.
My sass is back.
Here’s what’s helping me:
CrossFit: Every workout is a wake-up call. They’re tough, but they remind me I have more in me.
Daily Sparks: Writing every day is hard, but it’s a good kind of hard. It challenges me and pushes me to grow.
Saying ‘No’: I’m done with over-consuming, mindless scrolling and drama. Saying no gives me more energy and focus.
These changes have completely shifted how I view what’s possible at 60.
Research shows that maintaining a positive mindset about aging can add 7.5 good years to your life.2
Seven and a half years.
That’s worth a mindset shift.
If you feel stuck and old, it’s time to get your sass back. Do something today that stretches you, challenges you, and helps you grow.
Remember, old is a mindset—and you’re not done yet!
