Drama drains
(Adapted from my book On The Verge: Wake Up, Show Up, and Shine)
For years, I coached college football players. Come playoff time, I’d tell them:
Stay out of drama. Don’t create it. Don’t feed it.
Drama will drain you—on and off the field.
The same goes for you.
Social media, work nonsense, family chaos—it all leaves you wiped out.
Drama steals your energy every time.
It’s sneaky, too. It hides in:
Gossip
Judgment
Resentment
Comparing
Regret
Worry
Blame
Sound familiar?
I’m done with drama. My time and energy are too valuable, and there’s too much I want to do.
Now it’s your turn.
Where does drama show up in your life?
Who’s bringing it in?
Notice it.
The next time drama sneaks in, cut it off or redirect the conversation.
If that doesn’t work, walk away. Let it go.
This small shift can change everything.
Stay out of drama. Don’t create it. Don’t feed it.
Try it out. Let me know how it goes.
P.S. Stop letting drama drain your energy. I help people reclaim their power to feel and perform at their best. Let’s talk.
