We stay busy for a reason.
It keeps us from feeling what hurts.
What’s missing.
What’s true.
Poet David Whyte wrote:
Many people fill their days with a thousand distractions in an attempt to muffle the cry of their soul.
That line cracked something open.
I saw how I filled every minute to avoid the quiet.
So I tried something.
Each morning I started asking:
What does my soul want me to know today?
Then I wrote.
No filter. No editing.
The answers surprised me.
-Drop the act.
-Tell the truth.
-Be fully you.
Try it. I dare you.
One minute.
One page.

This is such a beautiful reminder. I have put this into practice and it has (literally) shifted my life experience in so many beautiful ways.
Thank you so much for sharing this! 🪷🙏✨ Namaste
Asking the soul what it wants to say each morning is such a powerful, disarming practice. Thank you Cara for this gentle nudge to pause and truly listen.
