What Makes You Lean In?
Spark #83 - Don't settle for mindless. Choose what makes you feel something.
Snap out of the scroll.
We scroll. We skim. We tune out.
Most of what we consume dulls us.
It drains more than it feeds.
And yeah—sometimes it’s easier to numb out on cat videos.
But you’re not here to settle for mindless.
You’re here to feel something real.
To get goosebumps.
To feel your heart race, your spine tingle, your whole system go yes, this.
That’s the kind of content I actually want in my feed.
Olympic finals. Championship games. Artist documentaries. CEO memoirs.
Moments when someone’s all in.
No backup plan. No filter. Just raw human brilliance.
I’ve got that stuff saved and on repeat.
It’s what fuels these Sparks.
So—what makes you lean forward?
What kind of content actually moves you?
Stories that stir
Music that hits your heart
Slow cooking videos
Wild naturescapes
Whatever makes you feel. Go there.
Choose one thing today that makes you feel something.
Then seek that out—before you get pulled into mindless scrolling.

One of my go to lean in videos is Steve Jobs commencement speech at Stanford. today I thought about your movement motivation spark. yesterday was a tough day. Multiple times I wanted to weep but couldn’t because I didn’t have any alone time. so when i woke up too early (5:30) I went for a run and watched the sun rise. Two hours later I’m still outside, absorbing the mountain scenery, and visiting my second café. The tears never flowed, and feeling recharged.
Great advice!
