Overthinking never feels good.
You push, analyze, and plan every detail—until the whole thing feels heavy. Like you’re carrying a backpack full of rocks.
I know this feeling. I’ve lived it.
And as a coach, I see it all the time.
We grip too tight.
Force the conversation.
Go in with an agenda.
We convince ourselves it has to be hard.
But what if it was easy?
What if the next step was obvious?
What if you didn’t have to wrestle with it?
Maybe the answer isn’t another plan.
Maybe it’s sending the email, making the call, stepping outside, taking the walk.
Maybe it’s easier than you think.
So try this today: What if it was easy?
Put it on a Post-it.
Stick it where you’ll see it.
Drop the struggle. Stop forcing. And see what happens.
Let me know.

I’ve heard this many times from many coaches. But I am starting to realize the important things are not usually “easy.” They are inspiring, interesting, enjoyable and many other things. It feels great when you complete them. But easy? Nope. But we can do hard things.
