Spark #96 - The problem is, you think you have time.
The right moment is now.
I used to think I had time.
Time to get serious.
Time to start the thing.
Time to be who I knew I was meant to be.
Then I heard this line from the movie Nomadland:
Don’t die with your sailboat in the driveway.
A man bought a sailboat to sail the world once he retired.
Three weeks after retiring, he died.
That boat never touched water.
I can’t stop thinking about that.
We keep saying “someday.”
We wait for when things settle.
We hide behind busy.
What’s your sailboat?
What’s been sitting in your driveway for way too long?
You don’t need a plan.
You need to move.
Yank it out of the driveway.
Even just an inch.
Today.
