Be available.
You scroll through emails while talking to your mom.
You check the news during the Monday morning team call.
You put away the dishes while your son recounts his day.
You look over someone’s shoulder at the party while they’re sharing an idea.
We’re not fooling anyone.
They can tell.
The dishes can wait. The emails will still be there. The news is definitely not going anywhere.
Show up for them. Fully present. Fully available.
That’s it.
