Three. Little. Words.
For when the noise gets loud.
For when the headlines make your chest tighten.
For when you're holding it all together, but barely.
These three words rewired my brain.
I first heard them from my Jamaican friends at Jake’s Hotel, where I taught yoga retreats in a tiny beach town that runs on fish stew and big laughs. These sunny, hardy folks somehow always find a way to squeeze this delightful phrase into every conversation.
All is well.
Even when it wasn’t.
Or the world had gone crazy.
At first, it confused me.
Didn’t they see what was happening?
The injustice, the hatred, the suffering?
But they weren’t ignoring the hard stuff.
They were choosing not to let it steal their soul.
And now—when the headlines are heavy and my brain feels like it’s going to explode—I hear it again. All is well.
The sun came up.
I’ve got coffee.
My body is healthy.
I have people who love me.
I’m still here.
All is well.
It’s not about pretending. It’s about pausing.
It’s a nervous system reset.
A reminder to find your ground, your home base.
Write it down.
Post it everywhere.
Let it live in your bones.
✨Pay It Forward

So well put and thought out, thanks for sharing this reminder that we can't control the chaos around us or the circumstances we face, we absolutely CAN control how we respond (better than reacting).
All is Well! I love the sentiment and have amazing memories from your retreats at Jakes! It is an important affirmation and I pull it out frequently.
