What Would You Do With More Time?
Spark #67 - You can’t create extra hours, but you can take one back. Here’s how.
Too Much to Do. Not Enough Time.
If you had four extra hours today, what would you do?
I came across this question in Improv Wisdom by Patricia Ryan Madson.
Without overthinking it, I put the book down, grabbed my journal, and started scribbling.
Here’s what came up:
1 hour – Reading and learning. So many books, so little time.
1 hour – Wandering outside. No agenda, no workout. Just exploring.
1 hour – More sleep. Because who doesn’t need that?
1 hour – Real connections. Laughing with an old friend. Meeting someone new.
It feels good just thinking about it. But let’s be real—those extra hours won’t just show up.
But maybe one will.
Where could I find it? Nighttime Netflix? Morning scrolling?
I’m gonna start looking.
Now it’s your turn.
Set a timer for two minutes. See what comes up. You might surprise yourself.
Be out in nature.
Spending time with friends.
Dinners out with my hubby.
Wandering outside just because and agenda-less sounds just right! My list is pretty identical. I'd combine pickleball and friends/family if possible, and I'd bake something. Love me some baking!
