Take the Long View
Spark #348 - Five years buys you time
I’m starting something new.
It’s scary.
I know I’m going to suck at it at first.
That’s part of it.
So I’m taking the long view.
Five years.
Five years to learn while I’m doing it.
Five years to get it wrong, adjust, and keep going.
When I look out that far, there’s less pressure.
And there’s more room to figure it out.
Five years is a long runway to do anything.

Cara..I’m not certain what type of goal you are setting. Why is a time limit necessary? Why the added pressure when you are setting your intention at some type of mastery. Why not incremental benchmarks? isn’t it all about intention?💫✨
I'm so curious. What are you starting? And this reminds me of a saying I have in my day planner - "it takes 1, no 5, no 10 years to become an overnight sensation"
