We’re on speed.
Not the drug. The energy.
Our nervous systems are fried.
And we’re stuck in fight or flight.
All. The. Time.
Last year, my bloodwork flagged autoimmune dysfunction.
I cut out two obvious triggers.
One remained.
Chronic stress.
Until recently:
My neck never unclenched.
I worried. A lot.
I didn’t realize how deep it ran.
The only way forward for me was to:
Slow.
Way.
Down.
So I did. I just did.
And you can too.
Start here.
Slow how you move:
Walk
Talk
Move
Eat
Listen
Talk
(Said talk twice for a reason hint, hint)
Pick one.
Do it slower.
Notice how you feel.
Speed is the addiction.
Slowing down is the cure.

There is a big difference if we do things with consciousness and awareness or just rush and brush over everything. Sometimes we need to react fast, speed up, be quick, but that shouldn't become the norm. But for many, speeding is the new normal. It's not normal. Slowing down is cool, rebellious, smart, healthy, more fulfilling, and gets you further in life.
