How I Start My Morning
Spark #343 - Two words and a sticky note
I have an important conversation with myself most mornings.
Always with coffee in hand.
I don’t force it. I just listen.
Something shows up that I need to hear.
I write it on a sticky note and keep it where I’ll see it.
Without that sticky note, the rush of calls and to-do’s run my day.
Two words on a colored note usually change that. Like an anchor, they are the reminder I keep coming back to.
Here are a few on repeat:
Don’t chase.
Don’t fix.
Stop trying.
Let go.
Say it.
Do it.
Be available.
Be the example.
Pick two. Or make your own up.
Trust me, you can’t mess this up.

I loved this, Cara. I do something similar but I do it at the beginning of each month. I call it my stake (as in 'stake in the ground') that I can anchor to through the month. I put it at the top of my plan for the day. Like you, they seem to just come to me. This month's stake is "Glow."
